Spring Recital 2023
Information for Parents and Dancers
-Volunteer positions still need to be filled! Especially for help with cleaning up after final performance and Chaperons in dressing rooms...no chaperons, dancers can not perform
- No nail polish should be worn for stage performances.
- No watches, bracelets, anklets or long/big earrings are to be worn on stage. Studs or small hoops are acceptable
- All Dancers to have hair in bun. Bun must be tight to head, slicked back.
- Schedule for Rehearsal Week posted below! Know your dancer's class(es) as the schedule is based on registered classes!
- All dancers should be in attendance for rehearsal week schedule, absences will not be accepted.

Please note: All Ballet classes will require a bun for stage. (Advanced Ballet 1, 2, 3, Ballet 1, 2, 3, and Dance Exploration - Ballet
Advanced Ballet classes
(AB1,AB2, AB3):
- Good pair of Ballet Pink tights
(no holes)
- pink/nude ballet slippers
(Black for male dancers)
- basic thin strap leotard
- dancers in pointe technique will require a pair of pre-pointe shoes or pointes shoes (depending on their level, AB2 & AB3).
Ballet 1, 2, 3 :
- Good pair of Ballet Pink tights
(no holes)
- pink/nude ballet slippers
(Black for male dancers)
- basic thin strap leotard
- hair in a bun
- makeup for stage
- costume provided by YDA
- Male dancers are to have black dress pants, white dress shirt. Part of costume will be provided by YDA
Dance Exploration - Ballet:
- Long sleeved black leotard
- Ballet Pink tights (no holes)
- pink/nude ballet slippers
- hair in a bun
- make-up for stage
- costume provided by YDA
Dance Exploration - Contemporary:
- Black leggings
Contemporary 1:
- Black leggings
Contemporary 2:
- Black thin strap leotard
Jazz 1:
- black leggings (no visible logos)
- black Jazz shoes or
black Jazz sneakers
- Costume provided by YDA
Jazz 2:
- black leggings or black pants (no visible logos)
- black Jazz shoes or
black Jazz sneakers
- White dress shirt
Creative Movement:
- dancers are to wear whatever they feel comfortable in. Most Creative Movement dancers will wear a tutu/skirts, ballet tights and their slippers. Hair should be up out of their face, either braids, pony-tail or bun. Makeup is not required but can be fun to have some lip gloss or some blush (not required though).
- Male dancers would wear black pants and a t-shirt.
