Dancers born in 2020
Dancers will explore the basics in dance through games, music and creative exploration. Technical basics and foundations will be introduced with focus on musicality and spacial awareness. The Creative Movement class does not perform in the Nutcracker, but will take part in YDA's annual Spring Recital.
**Parent/Guardian is encouraged to quietly sit in the studio or wait in the dressing room/lobby for the duration of the class. It may be required for the first few classes that parent/guardian may need to sit beside their dancer or actively participate to help their dancer.
The goal for the term would be for young dancers to participate in class
without parent/guardian in the studio, but waiting in the lobby/dressing room.
Space is limited and classes do fill up, a wait list will be created once class is full. A second class may be added to accommodate registration numbers.
Required Dance Supplies and Attire
Creative Movement
- Dancers are to wear something comfortable and easy to move in.
- Socks, bare feet or ballet slippers with no drawstrings are suggested.
- Hair out of their face.
- Water bottle is recommended
